Mni Sota Fund Appoints Andrea Reese as Executive Director
Mni Sota Fund is excited to announce the appointment of Andrea Reese (Citizen of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe) as Executive Director.
Andrea has been with Mni Sota Fund since its inception in 2011, serving in multiple roles and helping shape the organization’s growth and direction. Throughout her time with the organization, she has demonstrated values driven leadership and a strong commitment to community.
As Mni Sota Fund continues to expand its work statewide, Andrea steps into this role at a key moment. This next phase includes deepening impact across Indigenous communities throughout Mni Sota Makoce and advancing the development of the Indigenous Wealth Building Center on the American Indian Cultural Corridor in Minneapolis.
Board President John Williams shared, “Andrea is ready to move our organization to the next level. With her deep knowledge of the field and strong relationship building skills, she will help us actualize our vision for equity and prosperity. I am thrilled for Mni Sota Fund.”
As one of the fastest growing Native CDFIs in the country, Mni Sota Fund continues to build access to capital, financial education, and resources in partnership with Native communities.
Andrea’s leadership reflects both the strength of the organization and its direction moving forward.
